PHOTOGRAPHY & FLORISTRY AT THE BADMINTON ESTATE 25TH SEPTEMBER 2026
THE WALLED GARDEN, BADMINTON | 10.08.26
CREATING CONTENT
If you’ve been following us recently, you’ll know that Holly and I are doing a workshop together on 25th September at the Badminton Estate, ‘Creating Magic with Flowers’, a day immersed in flowers and photography, learning, chatting and letting the day unfold creatively. Well leading up to this we have been doing ‘content’.. its seems such an odd word in a world which I can’t really keep up with, however we did our best and so here is where we began..
As a freelance sometimes it’s hard to remember that what we love is what we do to make a living. Holly Gavin, Matt Greenwell and I got together this week to ‘create content’ it’s an actual thing. Once we’d recovered from putting ourselves in this category we filled the morning with inspirational chatter, laughter, gathering flowers, capturing flora and fauna in the garden, followed by a practice run of our workshop to come on 25th September this year. My great friend and talented videographer Matt captured moments on his camera and despite his incredible skills I just know I’m going to appear awkward and hearing my own voice will be hideous.
We had a really fun time, the head gardener Ashley was a star and is keeping the cutting garden going, it’s looking splendid and the dahlias will be perfect focal flowers for guests to cut for their own arrangements.
When you’re surrounded by history & flowers at the Badminton Estate you feel a million miles from anywhere, just the space and peace allows your brain to switch off from the busy stressful work beyond the historic brick wall, we are so very fortunate to be working alongside the Estate.
Well without further ado, here is a little insight into Holly doing her demonstration in the Greenhouse (thank you Ashley for letting us take over, it looked stunning).
The hummingbird moths were in abundance too, in fact the garden was teaming with bees and butterflies.
We’re thrilled to be here this September, please do join us. We’ll be creating beautiful arrangements and learning how to capture them, it’s a relaxed informal day to immerse yourself, you will follow your natural instinct to create images which will tell your own story and you’ll go home with stunning floral arrangements.
This is Holly Gavin, floral artist, she will guide you through creating your arrangements. You will be able to gather a few stems from the beautiful Walled Garden here at Badminton.
Holly will share her artistic skills to help you create your own natural and atmospheric arrangements.
You will watch Holly carefully create a beautiful seasonal display, she will be talking you through how to do your own in the Glasshouse (it’s immaculate in here thanks to Head Gardener Ashley, his Instagram handle is The Walled Gardener, he is hilarious and has great gardening tips too!
This is the masterful Matt Greenwell, he’s a gem amongst those cosmos! I have worked alongside Matt for 5 years now and he is a master of his craft, subtle and thoughtful, capturing the tiniest of details, although I am dreading to see what he captured of me! He’s a busy man so don’t procrastinate for too long if you’re thinking of booking him, he’s also getting married in just over a month to the gorgeous Kate, thank you for sparing him today! Here is his
There will be some of me at some point.. maybe just in video format which we will figure out how to share very soon..
Please come and join us, a day of creativity, fun, learning new skills and all in the most iconic of settings.
