Crab apple Jelly

Crab apples

Just before the light disappeared behind the woods I quickly took a shot of my crab apples along my path, they are so heavy with fruit!

I’ve already made six jars of jelly, but it hasn’t made the slightest dent. The branches are still laden - a feast in waiting for the birds and squirrels this winter. For now, they are simply a stunning sight, catching the autumn light like little red rubies.
